Good news- the holidays are only a couple days a way! With loads of family time, friends and holiday cheer, you may need a quick and easy-to-make dish to impress everyone at Thanksgiving dinner. (and maybe they won't ask you to just bring chips & dip next year 😉)

Apple & Cranbery Stuffing using Jimmy John's Day Old Bread

 

What to order from JJ's:

3 Loaves of Jimmy John's Day Old Bread (available until it's gone- so grab some early in the morning)

 

What You'll Need At Home:

Jimmy John's Apple & Cranberry Day Old Bread Stuffing Ingredients

 

1 stick of butter

1 teaspoon of Parsley Flakes

1 teaspoon of Rosemary Leaves

1 teaspoon of Thyme Leaves

1 cup of chopped onions

2 cups of chopped celery

2 medium tart apples, cored and then chopped

1 6 oz bag of dried cranberries 

3 loaves of Jimmy John's Day Old bread, cut into bite size pieces

1 can of chicken broth

1 cup of apple juice

 

 

 What to do: 

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F. Then, in a large skillet or pot (large is key!) melt your butter. Add your chopped celery and onion then stir continuously while cooking for about 5 minutes or until they're soft. Stir in your apples, cranberries and spices!

2. When you're done with step 1, place your Day Old Bread cubes in a large mixing bowl.

3. Add the stove top mixture, broth & apple juice. Toss until it's well mixed.

4. Put the mixture into a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake 15 minutes, remove foil and bake another 20 minutes until lightly browned and heated.

 

5. Remove from oven, let cool and enjoy!
