Next time you're getting your freaky fast fix, remember the day old bread! It rox!!!!

I am known in my local Jimmy Johns as "The Bread Man" because I have been gathering up these precious day old gems for a couple of years to make the "Famous Jimmy John's French Toast" for my church's monthly Men's Prayer Breakfast, where I have served as one of the Chefs feeding 40-70 people and promoting Jimmy John's day old bread! TIP: Cut the loaf in half, and slice lengthwise into three pieces. Some like the bottom crust slice, others the top crust slice, and lots love the center slice with no crunch when prepared upon your griddle! Serve hot off the grill with butter only, and forget the syrup to get the best flavor of this wonderful french toast! You can also get fancy and use a round cookie cutter to make a whole in bread cut this way, making "French Toast Egg Nests" for a great breakfast or anytime treat! Just place french toast dipped bread on a hot oil covered griddle, put you egg in the middle, and turn it over once if desired. Serve with the cut out bread hole, toasted also on the griddle, as a garnish! ENJOY!
JUST PLEASE SAVE ME SOME DAY OLD BREAD! ;-)

You'll have better luck coming earlier in the day, but it depends how much bread is left over from the night before!
